The Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach offers families the unique opportunity to explore a giant aquatic habitat from the inside, thanks to the acrylic tunnel that snakes through the Dangerous Reef Aquarium. Visitors can find a variety of activities in the family-friendly Broadway at the Beach district, which is home to attractions such as Old Tyme Portraits, Ripley's Aquarium and WonderWorks.

Every Tuesday and Friday and a few weekends after the season, Broadway at the Beach lights up an impressive fireworks show at 10 p.m. Intricate sculptures decorate the grounds of Brookgreen Gardens, a unique property that blends art and nature in a variety of ways.
The 9,127 acre property is home to extensive botanical gardens, which form a natural gallery for works of art, but are also a reserve of history and wildlife. In addition to miles of trails and quiet places to rest, Brookgreen offers tours on a 48-foot pontoon boat that sails alongside the historic rice fields of Oaks Plantation, and other guided tours include more areas of the plantation, such as the old rice mill and a Civil War fort. The classic attractions remain, with favorites such as bumper cars, go-karts, vintage cars, a carousel, ferris wheels and a train for children. Warbird Park is a free, educational attraction located in the Market Common district of Myrtle Beach, at the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Since its privatization in 1993, the base has been converted into a beautiful park where aircraft that were once an active part of operations are exhibited, and each vessel on display has details about its history and meaning. Among the aircraft on display, tourists will find an A-10 Warthog Thunderbolt that supported ground troops during Operation Desert Storm, an F-100 jet fighter that went into action between the mid-1950s and early 1970s, and one of the base's A-7 Corsair tactical warplanes.
The park also houses the Service Wall, which contains the names of all service members who served at Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. Myrtle Beach is home to the largest water park in South Carolina: Myrtle Waves. More than a million gallons of water flow through more than 20 acres of water slides, rides, rafts and water slides.
