Loris is west of Little River or about 20 minutes from the beach.   The business district has that old historic small town type charm.  There is a Diner that takes you back to the 50's with the counter, stools and menu.  Everyone seems to know each other but they're so open and friendly you will soon feel at home.   Close to the beach but you can enjoy country living at its best.  It offers larger home sites than those offered at the beach.

Loris celebrates the Bog-Off festival during the 2nd weekend of October.  Rides, street performers, a variety of concession stands, and lots of Chicken Bog.  (Bog is a local specialty made with chicken, sausage, rice, and seasonings combined into a true southern delicacy.)

From North Myrtle Beach go west on  Hwy 9.   A great school system and excellent medical facilities make this a sought after area.
