Ocean Isle Beach, NC
Located in Brunswick County, North Carolina along the southeast coastal area of the State. There are actually two areas, one referred to as Ocean Isle mainland, the other is Ocean Isle Beach. The beach is located on the island and you must cross The Causeway Bridge to reach it, but the bridge is not a "swing" or "draw" bridge. The bridge suspends over the Intracoastal Waterway allowing boats to pass under.
On the mainland Hwy. 904 seems to be the line between Ocean Isle and Sunset Beach's mainland. There is a great shopping area at the intersection of Hwy. 904 and Hwy. 179 that was included under Sunset Beach, North Carolina.
Slow paced waterway and beach lifestyle. A favorite place for that second home retreat or retirement.
Sunset Ridge Plantation
A beautiful new development with sidewalks, street lights and only seven minutes from Ocean Isle Beach. Two builders presently give you a variety of styles and floor plans.
I was impressed with the section in Sunset Ridge being developed by Bill Clark Homes. Primarily single family detached homes with some space between them. If you find the style home you want but the floor plan is not quite right, not a problem since you can delete some of the interior walls or add them to make your new home just right. They have also built a section of townhouses in the front area of the development. Walking trails, a pool, clubhouse, fitness room, and yard maintenance (cutting grass + edging the front & back yard).
