Of course, the beautiful white sandy beach, the Intracoastal Waterway, boating activities, pier fishing, and the professionally designed golf courses add to making North Myrtle Beach a favorite.

North Myrtle Beach is known as the birthplace of the "Shag" dance and the well known Main Street area has the places for Shaggers to show their steps. For two weeks in April and two weeks in September the out-of-town Shaggers come to dance the night away. Also while traveling around North Myrtle Beach you may see pictures of the "Wheel of Fortune" hostess, Vanna White. She is from North Myrtle Beach and is routinely seen visiting her friends and family.

permit sticker

2.  Golf carts can only be driven by a licensed driver

3.  Golf carts are only allowed on secondary roads

(not on sidewalks)

4.  Golf carts may cross primary roads but not travel

down primary roads

5. Golf cart drivers must obey all South Carolina

State traffic laws

6. Seating capacity on golf carts cannot be exceeded

7. Golf carts can be operated in daylight only.

Dogs on North Myrtle Beach
Dogs in public must be on a leash at all times. No dogs are allowed on the beach from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 15-Sept. 15.
