The approximate population of Myrtle Beach is 28,600 and it is the most well known city within the Grand Strand.  Myrtle Beach has been a vacation destination for many years. The beach, golf courses, shopping, entertainment, and special events has made it a favorite for thousands of people. Myrtle Beach and the surrounding areas offer different types of fishing (surf, pier, deep sea, etc.), tennis courts fit for the pros, miniature golf courses that can challenge the best golfer, entertainment complexes like the Imax Discovery Theater and the Aquarium.

Myrtle Beach Dog Regulations:
Dogs in public must be on a leash at all times. No animals are allowed on the beach or Ocean Boulevard from 21st Ave. N. to 13th Ave. S. in Myrtle Beach during any time of the year. No dogs are allowed on the beach 9 a.m.-5 p.m. May 15-Sept. 15.
