Myrtle Beach Homes For Sale Spring has come to an end and the tax credits for home buying were not extended a second time. In the Myrtle Beach area I did not see much impact from the tax credits as real estate buyers have continued to increase even after the credit deadline ended. According to the official Coastal Carolina Association of Realtors (CCAR), Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in the Detached (Existing Site/Stick Built); Modular; New Construction (Site/Stick Built) category on February 10, 2010 there were 4,965 single family homes for sale in the Myrtle Beach area compared to over 5,500 single family homes for sale in the Summer 2008 and 5,099 for sale in the Fall 2009. From January 1, 2009 through September 20, 2009 - 2,099 single family homes sold and closed. The majority of those homes contained at least 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. |
