Emmens Preserve
Emmens Preserve in Myrtle Beach is a Lennar (national builder) community convenient to all that Myrtle Beach has to offer. This community was named after the late Colonel Robert G. Emmens, World War II hero and Myrtle Beach resident. In 1955 Colonel Emmens was assigned to supervise the construction of the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. That is why locals call the area "the old air force base" because that base was closed and the land sold and is now home to communities such as Emmens Preserve, Highlands at Withers Preserve, Dockstreet Townhomes and Apartments, other neighborhoods under development.
The fact that Emmens Preserve is located within the area of The
Market Common makes it even more desirable. The Market Common is a walk friendly live-shop atmosphere with small and large stores, numerous restaurants, movie theaters, a park, benches, street lights, wide walking / bike paths and about a block from the ocean.
A home for sale at Emmens Preserve is just a sample of Myrtle Beach, SC real estate.
Sidewalks, street lights and a feeling of home.
